Comics Continuum has a brief piece on CrossGen’s “Traveler” format. This is an 8″ tall by 5″ wide, slightly smaller TPB.
While not AS small as the old digests, I think this is a good substitute. (I’ve said before that I don’t know that modern comics would be readable if printed digest-sized.) And Chuck Dixon has been pushing for the return of digests for ages. I don’t want to credit Chuck Dixon with everything good that CGE does…I’m sure it’s partly that Chuck joined them because they planned to do things like this.
Although I’m not a Masters of the Universe fan, I think I’ll have to check this out just to get a look at the package.
