I wasn’t aware that the man who performed “Make ’em Laugh” in ‘Singin’ in the Rain’ had passed away. Then again, I never thought he was still alive. I was also surprised to learn that the Make ’em Laugh piece was largely improvised while Gene Kelly was sick.
