Kubricks are the miniature Legoman-like figures popularized in Japan which inspired DC Direct’s miniature figures. Medicom’s new Kubrick Batman set, Series 1 features a modern Batman and Robin, classic Batgirl, modern Scarecrow and blue metal Mr. Freeze. PLUS there is an unpictured chase figure, The Spoiler, who has never had an action figure before!
This series is being offered in America by DC direct as well, but as a Silver Age set. Silver Age Batman, Robin, Batgirl, Scarecrow and Mr. Freeze. No Spoiler, no Azrael. Considering Batgirl is the only unchanged character, I would consider it an almost completely different set…but that’s just non-toy-collecting me.
