Unfortunately, Bubba Ho-Tep was not released nationwide (yet) as I’d hoped. (My local movie site in Rochester lists it among the upcoming films so I’m hopeful that my little city won’t be skipped over entirely.)
The Bubba Ho-Tep site lists release dates for some cities…and Bruce Campbell will be appearing at the shows in Chicago and Detroit next weekend.
Meanwhile, this movie grossed $30,000 at one theater in Los Angeles on the opening weekend and did even better at one theater in New York. It’s also getting some great reviews from mainstream, non-Bruce-worshipping sources like the LA Weekly.
I WILL review this film for you, somehow, someday.
