Someone finally had to say it: The Cat In The Hat talking like Linda Richman proves that Mike Myers (while funny) has a limited supply of characters. It amazes me that he couldn’t come up with something new to do for Cat in the Hat. As soon as I saw “The Cat” doing the same ol’ “Don’t go there girlfriend! *snap* *snap*” that he did as Dr. Evil, I realized Myers had fallen into Jim Carrey territory. (How sympatico that Jim Carrey did the exact same thing as The Grinch.)
Theater Hopper, by the way, is done by Tom Brazelton, whom I met at MNCBA’s FallCon. It’s a funny strip worthy of checking out daily, like PvP and Day By Day. I told Tom I’d add a graphic link to the online strip and I’ve been meaning to get around to that. Until I do some refurbishing of the web site, this post will have to do.
