That wonderful guy G. Trudeau decided to broaden the horizons of American tots by putting the spelled out curse S.O.B. in today’s Doonesbury in very large print.
In the Minneapolis Star Trib the cartoon ran right next to Family Circus. Nice. Makes me wonder if the comics editor even read it. Many other newspapers around the country either edited it or moved it.
Gary Larson and Bill Waterson sit around enjoying their retirement, feeling that they have said their piece. I keep waiting for Trudeau to take another two year sabbatical.
Just to be fair, I also feel Bil Keane lost his muse 20 years ago when he ran his 40th pasketti joke the day after yet another map of Jeffy’s route around the yard and house.
