I thought this show was canceled a year and a half ago! Drew Carey, a wild and wacky show that I used to love, long ago descended into self-parody. There was way too much Mimi, and then Kate left the show. And then it just got worse and worse. But it turns out that the show has actually done one more season that hasn’t aired, and they just finished recording the last episode. The new eps will air June 2.
Despite the suckiness of the last few years, this season may prove interesting. Drew often complained about notes from ABC, but now the network has shown so little interest that the show has had a great deal of creative freedom and they’ve been able to experiment.
