Back in the late 1970s, you may remember, National Public Radio adapted the Star Wars movie as a radio play. I tuned in every day that it was on. One day, after it was over, there was a science fiction anthology show, and I heard a story called “Slow Glass.” In the years since I discovered that it was quite famous in sci-fi circles, with many people referring to it.

The concept of slow glass is that light passes through it so slowly that you can see an image that the window was facing ten years before. That’s a neat idea, but the story it appears in is even better.

This morning, I suddenly recalled the story, typed “Slow Glass” into Google and found the original story online: “Light of Other Days” by Bob Shaw.

It’s a short story, and a good one. If you need to take a quick break sometime, give it a read! The story is online courtesy of Sci-Fi.com’s Classic Sci-Fi fiction archive.
