Absolute Crisis

No, it’s not a Vodka ad.

Crisis on Infinite Earths: The Absolute Edition is an oversized volume reprinting Crisis plus loaded with extras such as the complete Indexes and notes about changes to DC Comics in the last 20 years as a result of the Crisis.

Okay, you don’t need me telling you the promotional stuff. Here’s a question: what’s it mean? More and more, I’m getting the vibe that “Infinite Crisis” will tie in to the previous maxi-series in more than just name.

Probably not. This “Absolute Edition” doesn’t come out until after “Infinite Crisis” does. I think. They sure took their sweet time with “Watchmen’s” Absolute edition, so I imagine they will with this one, pushing it back past the “IC” release date.

Actually, since they’ve already called it “the sequel to Crisis on Infinite Earths” I’m sure that there will be some tie in.

At the very least it will be a marketing tie-in. 😉

And I can’t just help but picture this same cover with intersecting vodka bottles intead of planets.
