More movie remakes!

I’ve never seen the original version of The Hills Have Eyes, but I understand it’s already one of the all-time great horror classics that did everything right. Why a remake? Are they going to have anyone as good and weird as that Michael Berryman fellow in the first one?

Yes, it is the same guy- and he is brilliant! Who knows, this could actually work- and the cast looks brilliant! I’ve heard that the trailer is really scarey.. mind you by the time they release it here in New Zealand it will be three years old, but it gives me something to look forward to…

    Awwwww!!!!!!

    Another remake!

Whats wrong with Hollywood? no more original stories? no more screenwriters? shortage of ideas?

2 big reasons not to make a remake…

    1) If the movie was great, what are the odds the remake wil do better than the original?

    2) if the movie was mediocre or a flop, why bother at all?

The guy who’s directing this did a brilliant film called Switchblade Romance over here in the UK.I think it was retitled to High Tension in the US.It’s a very down and dirty horror movie in the vein of 70’s horror movies like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre so this remake might be worth a watch.
