Forum changes

Posted on December 11, 2003 by thehutch

I’ve been redesigning the Fuzzball Forum and fiddling with the colors. I don’t think it’s perfect but I’d love some input.

How about, no?

Posted on December 11, 2003 by thehutch

Katie Holmes from Dawson’s Creek as Batman’s love interest in the next Batman feature film. Yeah? Here’s a radical idea: drop this love interest crap. Batman doesn’t need a love interest in every movie. He’s not a lover, and all these love interests have for the most part detracted from the already-overcrowded plots. Honestly.

At’sa me!

Posted on December 10, 2003 by thehutch

Not only did I get listed as a contributor to Opinion Journal’s Best of the Web Today, but I did it for what I thought would surely be an obvious note. I’m the one who notified James Taranto of The Onion’s political debate in Chocolate City between those who say we should “get on up”…

I didn’t know Chaim Mattis Keller was a contributor to Thrilling Detective! The things you find out when you do a Google search.

Marv Wolfman on his Superman animated series

Posted on December 10, 2003 by thehutch

I remember the Adventures of Superman animated series that ran back in 1990. It was faithful to both the classic comics and the Byrne revamp (I remember being astounded that it would feature the new continuity), it had the John Williams Superman movie theme, and Marv Wolfman was the story editor. At the time, I…

Negation TPB review

Posted on December 10, 2003 by thehutch

I purchased the Negation TPB at half price at Wizard World and it is really an awesome book. Negation sounded intimidating and continuity-mired from the descriptions of it. As a book that was “pivotal” to the whole CrossGen Sigil and Firsts and upcoming War, I thought it would be a mishmash. The only Negation story…

Now this is smart marketing

Posted on December 10, 2003 by thehutch

I talked in my Wizard World review about PS238. As I was investigating the site further, I found Aaron’s PS238 Lunch Boxes. As someone who has been trying to sell Cafe Press merchandise for years, I have to admit…these are really smart designs. Not only are they lunchboxes promoting a book about elementary school, but…

Posted on December 10, 2003 by thehutch

Monitor Duty now appears on the map of the Blogosphere…specifically, as a section of the city of St. Bloggersburg. Thanks to Mr. Arndt for encouraging our enclusion, and big thanks to The Politburo Diktat for “putting us on the map”.

Here’s that handy e-mail tool again

Posted on December 9, 2003 by thehutch

Everyone keeps asking me for that tool that lets you make an e-mail link that can’t be read by spambots and worm viruses. When I met Scott Kurtz he said he needed to get it again. Of course, the link is in the archives, but no one can find it. I promise, when I get…
