Posted on November 7, 2003 by thehutch

This gal abuses her comics

Posted on November 7, 2003 by thehutch

Eve Tushnet blogs about the whole monthly comics vs. trades discussion. Interesting perspective, considering I’m totally different from her. Maybe this isn’t the best news piece title?

Posted on November 7, 2003 by thehutch

We’ve mentioned this subject before, but I’d like to comment on the way this news story is written: “Kim Jong-Il becomes an unlikely hero of Japanese manga” I don’t know why this is the title of the piece. I was getting extremely angry reading it because of its use of the word “hero.” I thought…

ACME Products Catalog

Posted on November 6, 2003 by thehutch

Amazing! The ORIGINAL Illustrated Catalog Of ACME Products really does have every product offered by ACME. Even Earthquake Pills! And yet, not one word about the massive lawsuit against them by one of their biggest customers. Truth in labeling laws should have brought ACME down ages ago.

Follow-up on O.E.M. post

Posted on November 6, 2003 by thehutch

Microsoft’s page on legal packaging makes it very clear that O.E.M. products are intended to be packaged with new PCs…and you can tell if your copy is legit because it should come with a certificate of authenticity. Guess I won’t be getting my $60 copy of Office XP.

Texas convention news

Posted on November 6, 2003 by thehutch

Just a reminder that I will be at Wizard World Texas in Arlington to promote Job Wanted. We’re going to have a booth for Shooting Star Comics…that’s right, a booth, not a table in artist’s alley…so be sure to look for us. Joining me will be Scott McCullar, Roz Terrill, John Morgan Neal and Jayme…
