Salute to Steven J. Cannell
Scott Kurtz? Aaron Williams? A salute to the “great” television of the late 1970s and early 1980s like Knight Rider, A-Team and Greatest American Hero? I am so there. “Truth, Justin and the American Way” just went on my pull list! (If it’s no longer on the main page of PVP, then click here.) Scott…

Image site redesigned
I never blog about Image Comics and I suppose I should, even though PvP is the only Image book I’ve ever bought. Scott Kurtz posted the cover of an upcoming issue of PvP on their new blog.

Entire issue previewed online!
Here’s an interesting idea. To raise the profile of a comic which could use some more orders, Image Comics has authorized Newsarama to post the entire Godland issue #1 online! PvP goes Monthly!

The Dork Ages collects the original stories (but not the strip reprints) of the six issues of PvP published by…

Image’s new publisher
Erik Larsen, the guy who made “Doom Patrol” really rock (I kid, I kid), has taken over as publisher of Image Comics following the resignation of Jim Valentino.

Awwww, why’d you have to grab Saddam now?
Reality invades Phantom Jack. “Phantom Jack” was going to have the lead character kill Saddam Hussein, but now that ending has to be changed. I don’t see why they can’t do the DC thing of having it be “Qurac” and “Sudmann Innsanne” or something like that. That way we all know what he’s really doing…

PvP Horror Cover Blurb Contest
(You know…I should just have a PvP category on Monitor Duty.) Scott Kurtz has announced a new cover blurb contest for his upcoming issue which will feature the infamous “Jade boob squeeze” storyline that ran on PvP years ago. For those who contend that the PvP comic book merely reruns old cartoons, I should point…
