Fantastic Foreboding

Fantastic Four gets one star from Roger Ebert. And no, I am not an Ebert fan, but he is a nerd who knows his nerd stuff.

One response to “Fantastic Foreboding”

  1. I have to say, Ebert is quite the geek. I was a little thrown off by his “War of the Worlds” review, though. He described the Martians as using tripods in the original book, the 1938 radio play, and…(!) the 1953 movie?

Maybe he was just tired. 🙂

    KAB

(Ed. Note: Actually, they ARE tripods in the 1950s movie! Watch the scenes where there are several of them moving. You can see the legs reflected in the explosions, but they are semi-invisible.) If you think about it, animated tripod legs are hard to do; it was easier to have them seem to be floating.
