Best Buy will distribute a Hellboy Promo DVD at the checkout counter, which will include 10 minutes of footage from the film.
This is total genius. A great many people who’d like to see more than the trailer could be convinced to see it, and all for the cost of 500,000 DVD discs. And by distributing them at Best Buy, you’re hitting the movie target audience.
As promotional investments go, this sure seems more efficient than mailing everyone in America a “2000 free hours” AOL disk every month, right?
