We linked last week to the article about Jenny Everywhere, the public domain character, and told you about D.J.’s own story featuring Jenny.
Now…well, I’ll let D.J. tell the story:
Turns out that the Jenny Everywhere character has jumped from a Canadian pop culture mag, to bOING bOING – the internet mag, to the International Herald Tribune, and finally to…wait for it…the New York Times September 14 edition – The Week in Review.
So, when I discover this bit of information, I think – “Oh sure, maybe they picked up the Exclaim article and just give an overview of the concept.”
No way. They actually made a composite scan of all the strips, including my bit, and ….wait for it….give each artist credit.
Some one pinch me. I made the NY Times. Weird.
