Popeye Celebrates 75th with a new CGI 3D animated TV Special. The CGI will be done by the same people who make the Spider-Man series for MTV.

I don’t get it. The reason why POPEYE of all characters needs to be done with 3D computer animation escapes me. Although it would be cool to see a 3-D “Twisker Sock” in slow-motion. (That’s Popeye’s patented punch where he winds up his arm to the point that there are twists in it and then lets loose.)
