So Ingmar Bergman meets Charles Bronson and says…

“Glonken glonken bloghen.” (Sorry. Very inside joke from Home Movies.)

No, today Roger Ebert spins a tale of the conversation between the famous director and famous action actor:

“This is the scene where I get shot,” Bronson said. “I have these little squibs that explode to make it look like bullets are hitting.”

“Fascinating,” said Bergman. “I never knew how they did that.”

“You mean,” asked Bronson, “you don’t use machine guns in your movies?”

Ebert also reveals that High Noon turned out the way it did because Gary Cooper had a medical ailment that made him walk funny and look grimaced.
