Since I had to register to read the previous announcement, I frogged around the Adult Swim boards (link requires registration) and found more info you may want to know about. (And this is much better than Harry Goz passing away.)
Adult Swim to Repeat
Starting, Monday, Oct. 6, Adult Swim will repeat at 2 a.m. (e/p), making its total airtime Monday-Thursday, 11 p.m.-5 a.m.
This is very welcome news, considering I all too often remember Adult Swim after my favorite show has just finished!
Controversial Family Guy Finally Airs!

I’ve seen the infamous “Weinstein” episode. As is typical of many banned episodes, you can see why the content might offend but it doesn’t merit being censored. It’s about Peter trying to get his son Chris to convert to Judaism because of the stereotype that Jews perform better at school.
Actually, there are stereotypes gallore, but of the type that Jewish comedians have fun with all the time. The problem is that while the writing staff of the show is mostly Jewish, the show’s characters are Catholics…and just as I couldn’t repeat half the things that Jackie Mason says without being called a bigot, having the character of Peter Griffin say them is a touchy thing. But it’s all in good fun and once you see it you’ll probably wonder what the big deal is. There is also a scene of Luke Skywalker doing laser eye surgery with his lightsaber, and Optimus Prime turns out to be Jewish.
By the way, Tuesday night’s episode is the Road To Europe, the second episode that sends up the “Road” movies by Hope and Crosby. Hilarious.
[…] that’s where we’re going to stop, even though, as with The Thing, I’ve barely given you the premise as…
