The September 2003 sales figures are out and Newsarama has its own analysis of what they mean.
Now, JLA/Avengers sold extremely well, but this is credited as a strong showing for Marvel. I know from the business end of things Marvel released the book, but I take issue with this being considered as weighing only on the Marvel side of the balance. I bought the book for a JLA story with Kurt Busiek and George Perez, and I could not care less for the Marvel side of the book (although Batman vs. the Punisher happening off-panel was great). IMHO, the book’s figures and finances should be split evenly amongst the company’s showings for the month.
