Teen Titans #1 Sells Out… Again
This is the fourth printing of Teen Titans #1, and they still can’t keep up with demand. Why was it initially printed so low? Consider the following:
1. The universally-reviled “Graduation Day” mini
2. The mediocre advance buzz for “The Outsiders” 3. The repackaging of Teen Titans to feature the most marketable teen sidekicks along with the characters featured in the animated cartoon (Cyborg, Beast Boy, Starfire and Raven). It looks like cheap fan appeal.
4. The absolutely dismal performance of fifty issues of The Titans.
This book did not look like it was going to be a quality hit. Instead, Geoff Johns has revitalized the book with a new purpose. The latest developments with Impulse and Jericho make this a very hot book indeed.
