Finally, some cheerier news to talk about!

I noticed that the January releases for DC Comics included a new trade paperback, Zatanna’s Quest, collecting the Silver Age series of adventures wherein Zatanna searched for her father. This interview with Robert Greenberger asks why this book and why now.

Of course, the only segment of Zatanna’s search for Zatara that I have ever read was the Elongated Man part and the conclusion in JLA (featuring Elongated Man). Oddly enough, Zatara had appeared alive and well in an earlier Elongated Man mystery, but this is apparently disregarded. It will be good to read the whole story, and I applaud DC’s reprinting of more Silver Age material.
