Emerald Dawn II?

It appears that the rights to Wendy and Richard Pini’s classic indie comic “Elfquest”, a pillar of the indie comic temple, have been acquired by DC comics. This is good news.

I fell in love with Elfquest when I first picked up the ’80s Marvel color rerelease of the original b&w indie series. I had no appreciation for indie comics at the time, as I lived in a small rural town and had no access to anything other than DC and Marvel comics at my local drugstore.

This is good news for DC and Pini fans alike. I remember wondering why it was Marvel who was publishing the color version back in the eighties, because I was (still am) a DC devotee. Well, it looks as if I’ll get the chance to see what DC can do with this landmark property.
