Comics Continuum also has the DC Solicitations, and since there isn’t one big item I’ll comment on the little ones:
“Formerly Known As The Justice League” is finally going to appear, and I love the cover. That said, the books seems to be in a time warp. Maxwell Lord is said to be alive (last we heard he was dead, THEN blown up, and his mind now is in the body of Lord Havoc). Plus Captain Atom and Elongated Man are in old costumes (a big plus for Captain Atom, after the end of “The L.A.W.”). It’s great seeing Sue Dibny on a cover! You KNOW I’m buying this one.
Doom Patrol’s last issue? I didn’t realize it was still being published.
So Gail Simone takes over Birds of Prey and the first thing that happens is Huntress takes over for Black Canary? I realize they’re operating a year behind the TV show, but I was really hoping it would never be reflected in the comics.
Flash #200. I’m excited, and I wonder what the big change will be. Hey, considering that the Silver Age Flash started with issue #105 and ran until #350, that means that Barry Allen and Wally West will have had equivalent runs when this book reaches #245. I don’t know if that’s awesome or sad.
It’s a good month for the books. “Justice League: A New Beginning” is re-offered. Jimmy Olson’s adventures drawn by Jack Kirby are collected. Softcovers of the pricey “Selina’s Big Score” and “Enemy Ace: War In Heaven.” And the Challengers of the Unknown Archives!
[…] that’s where we’re going to stop, even though, as with The Thing, I’ve barely given you the premise as…
