How does having a relationship with a 27-year-old woman possibly fall under the umbrella of “cradle-robbing?” Isn’t there enough to criticize Cruise for without making stuff up?
A: It’s called hyperbole, Arthur. Maybe being 16 years younger than Tom isn’t the humongous difference in age that you require to qualify it as cradle-robbing, but most would consider that an acceptable span of years. (And she was 26 at the time, for the record.)

I agree with your quibble. I also feel the same about “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.” I admit that I was glad to see Johnny Depp in the role of Wonka but I probably would have seen the movie with OR without him.
“Mr. and Mrs. Smith” was very star-driven, though.

P.S. Crew members do harder work than actors, anyway. 🙂 But then again, as a film student my opinion is probably biased.
