Don’t click on the extended text unless you’re reading 52 or really don’t care at all about DC and never, ever plan to read it even a year from now in a trade.
But I have to talk about this because I’m fit to bust.
WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?
SKEETS is the BAD GUY?
Wow.
I just picked up two weeks’ worth of comics and I’m stunned.
Ralph Dibny begins a new journey with Dr. Fate.
Booster Gold’s pallbearers are The Blimp, the Yellow Peril, The Odd Man, the Beefeater (Cockney, so apparently a new bearer of the costume), Mind-Grabber Kid (wasn’t he killed off already in Primal Force?) and a new character named “Honest Abe”.
Skeets, it turns out, is evil.
And Detective Chimp is a Republican. (And before you say it, let me just stop you wiseacres and warn you that “Chimpy McBushitlerburton” remarks are unnecessary.)
A little musing about Skeets. Of course, this is Skeets II, Skeets having been scrapped as revealed in “Countdown to Infinite Crisis” and this new Skeets — with the fins that sometimes float for no reason depending on the artist — returning from the future with Booster Gold. Frankly, it’s odd how it was never explained that Booster left for the future or how he got the new Skeets, and how he somehow undid all the personal character development over the years. It’s possible that this Booster isn’t our Booster at all.
Note that Skeets’ first exclamation of “He knows” is not encased in a robotic balloon like all of his other text.
One has to hope that Rip Hunter will return to this facility before 1 Million A.D. Poor Daniel. This is a gut-wrenching ending.

i thought it was common knowledge that the Booster that came back from the future was not the same as the one that left at the end of Countdown because of the whole New Earth thing.
very nice you are not telling the story with out warning people because its so cooool
