Eve Tushnet blogs about the whole monthly comics vs. trades discussion. Interesting perspective, considering I’m totally different from her. I treat my trade paperbacks extra carefully because they’re actual expensive books. But then, I take good care of my monthly comics, too. If I wanted comics to be disposable, I’d buy them printed on toilet paper.
Sayyyyyy….now THAT would be a great idea. Print a comic book on toilet paper! It would take care of the whole “reading material in the bathroom” problem. Of course, in a multi-person household, it would be difficult to read the whole story. If a roast doesn’t sit well with your dad, you may miss a whole chapter and you can’t figure out why they keep referring to the cop being dead now.
